Mechatronics is a hybrid technological field which evolved from the combination of mechanical, electronics & Software engineering. Automobiles need high degree of safety to protect the occupants and their property. Bearing this in senses we come up with a new concept of Electric pulse Magnetic Braking (E.P.M.Braking).
When the driver applies force on the brake pedal the magnitude is sensed by the pressure transducer which in turn sends the actuating signals to microprocessor. This intelligent devi ....etc

INTRODUCTION
Accidents occur due technical problems within the vehicle or due the mistakes of the drivers. Sometimes the drivers may become fatigue and they lose the control over the vehicle and sometimes the accidents occur due to drunken drivers and sometimes due to rash driving. In all these cases the accidents occur because the brakes are not applied at right time.

ABSTRACT

A fuzzy logic based automatic braking system is proposed using distance and relative speed sensors as inputs and brake-pressure as output. Heuristic rules have been developed and implemented. The controller monitors the deceleration rate of the vehicle to prevent tire lock-up and the consequent loss of directional stability. The system offers the flexibility of setting the separation distance. Simulation of the controller for driving into a stationary or moving objects shows that the system is performing well.
