In 1972 the then Minister for Irrigation K. L. Rao proposed a 2640 kilometer long page link between the Ganges and Cauvery rivers.

In 1974 plans were proposed for the Garland canal.

In 1982 the National Water Development Agency was set up to carry out surveys of the links and prepare feasibility studies.

I am planning to buy a 24 cent plot on chaliyar river bank,kozhikode. This plot have a house plan approved and they have build the foundation of the house there. I am also looking at a 28 cents plot which don't have plan approve (both site are 1km distance). What are the possibility of getting a house plan approved on the second site? What are the rules applied if somebody can get the house plan approved? Please let me know the details should be aware of before buying riverside plots in kerala.
