In This paper investigates the impact of a STATCOM operating in a phase imbalanced mode on damping sub synchronous resonance in series capacitive compensated transmission grid. This paper concerns the optimization and coordination of the conventional FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) damping controllers in multimachine power system.
