Construction material subjected to repetitive or cyclic loading have to be qualified for their fatigue behaviour. Generally their behaviour is considered satisfactory if they withstand two million cycle of repetitive loading without distress or failure at that required mean stress level and range stress.
The recent research in reinforcing Portland cement based material with randomly distributed fibres was spurred by pioneering research or fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) conducted in the United state in the 1960s.The addition of fibre in the co..............etc

Basalt is well known as a rock found in virtually every country round the world. Basalt Rock fibres have no toxic reaction with air or water, are non-combustible and explosion proof. When in contact with other chemicals they produce no chemical reactions that may damage health or the environment. Basalt base composites can replace steel and known reinforced plastics (1 kg of basalt reinforces equals 9.6 kg of steel). There seemed to be something quite poetic in using a fibre made from natural rock to reinforce a material, which might quite reas..............etc

Optical fiber (or fiber optic) refers to the medium and the technology associated with the transmission of information as light pulses along a glass or plastic wire or fiber. Optical fiber carries much more information than conventional copper wire and is in general not subject to electromagnetic interference and the need to retransmit signals. Most telephone company long-distance lines are now of optical fiber.

Transmission on optical fiber wire requires repeaters at distance intervals. The glass fiber requires more protection within an ..............etc

Fiber Optics is a significant technology used
Fiber Optics is a significant technology used in many different areas of communications. With the explosion of the internet, fiber optics can readily provide the capacity of data that is transmitted with its gigabit speeds. As more breakthroughs in technology occur, it will spread to every aspect of the industry. Telephones, Fax Machines, Radios, Television Broadcasting, and even satellites use this highly reliable light wave technology. The telecommunications industry receives the most benefits f..............etc

iSCSI which became an official standard in February of 2003, links data storage devices over an IP network and is perhaps just beginning to emerge as a serious contender in the storage industry. Why hasn't iSCSI lived up to its early hype? Who is using it today? And, most importantly, what does the future hold for iSCSI?

Getting Started: Understanding The Terminology

Storage Area Network

Storage Area Network (SAN) is a high-speed sub network of shared storage device which contains a disk or disks for storing data. In this architect..............etc

Deterioration of reinforced concrete structures due to corrosion of steel is a cause of global concern. The losses due to corrosion every year run into millions of rupees and any solution to this universal problem of corrosion has a direct bearing economy of the country. It is estimated that about 30-40 percent of steel produced each year is used to replace corroded material.
In recent years, the construction industry has seen an increased demand to reinstate, rejuvenate, strengthen and upgrade existing concrete structures. This may be attrib..............etc
