PISTONLESS PUMPS IN ROCKETS

Presented By:

WHAT IS PUMP

Pump is a device which converts mechanical energy into hydraulic energy.
Principle: A partial vacuum created when internal parts of pump receives mechanical energy .
Oil is forced into pump due to atmospheric pressure on oil and suction created by pumping element.
Oil is squeezed b/w pump elements which increases pressure of fluid and then is forced out of pump and the cycle continues.

CHEMICAL ROCKET ENGINES
1. INTRODUCTION
Chemical rocket engines, like those on the space shuttle, work by burning two gases to create heat, which causes the gases to expand and exit the engine through a nozzle. In so doing they create the thrust that lifts the shuttle into orbit. Smaller chemical engines are used to change orbits or to keep satellites in a particular orbit. For getting to very distant parts of the solar system chemical engines have the drawback in that it takes an enormous amount of fuel to deliver the p..............etc

A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass , The water is forced out by a pressurized gas, typically compressed air. Water rocket engines are most commonly used to drive model rockets, but have also been used in model boats, cars, and rocket-assisted glide,The term aquajet has been used in parts of Europe in place of the more common water rocket

Non-rocket spacelaunch is the idea of reaching outer space mainly without the use of rockets, which today is the only method in use. Transportation to orbit is often the limiting factor in space endeavours. Present-day launch costs are very high ” $3,000 to $25,000 per kilogram from Earth to Low Earth Orbit (LEO). To settle space, e.g. space exploration and space colonization, much cheaper launch methods are required, as well as a way to avoid serious damage to the atmosphere from the thousands, perhaps millions, of launches required. Abstract
ROCKET PLANE
What does it feel like to fulfill a dream?
How will you describe what the Earth looks like from space and looking out to see the stars and the Moon in a black sky in the middle of the day? Will it feel somehow more magical, yet more fragile? Will the world around you look the same?
Youâ„¢ve waited your whole life for this flight, and now the time has come to take the ride of a lifetime. Your day begins with a special breakfast and a brief photo shoot. Then you board this space plane as its ca..............etc
