There are many ways of batterycharging but constant-currentcharging, in particular, is apopular method for lead-acid and Ni-Cd batteries. In this circuit, the batteryis charged with a constant current thatis generally one-tenth of the batterycapacity in ampere-hours. So for a4.5Ah battery, constant charging currentwould be 450 mA.This battery charger has the followingfeatures:1. It can charge 6V, 9V and 12V batteries.Batteries rated at other voltagescan be charged by changing the valuesof zener diodes ZD1 and ZD2.2. Constant current can be set..............etc

Abstract “
A chip for inductive battery charging is presented, which needs no external components except an antenna to capture the energy from an electromagnetic field. The integrated system blocks are a front-end to limit and rectify the induced alternating voltage and a charge regulator with three control loops for the current, the vol..............etc

Nowadays maintenance-free lead-acidbatteries are common in vehicles,inverters, and UPS systems. If thebattery is left in a poor state of charge, itsuseful life is shortened. It also reduces thecapacity and rechargeability of the battery.For older types of batteries, a hygrometercan be used to check the specific gravityof the acid, which, in turn, indicates thecharge condition of the battery. However,you cannot use a hygrometer for sealedtypemaintenance-free batteries. The onlyway to know their charge level is by checkingt..............etc

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS:
1) Transformer:-

A transformer is a static device which consists of two or more stationary circuits interlinked by a common magnetic circuit for the purpose of transferring electrical energy between them.
• E.M.F equation of a transformer:
e=4.44Baft
B=maximum flux density in the magnetic circuit.
a=area of cross-section of the core.
f and t are frequency and no. of turns respectively.
• Step up and step down transformer:
A step up transformer is one whose secondary voltag..............etc
