A practical method of modeling wind generator control systems for network simulation using Matlab-Simulink is presented. The interface developed between PSS/E and Matlab-Simulink allows the models generated to be used directly in PSS/E dynamic simulation. Fundamentally, modeling involves understanding the dynamics of equipments to be modeled and deriving the differential and algebraic equations which are coded using a high level computing language.
