Design of a Boomerang
A boomerang flies because it is shaped like the wing of an airplane. The front is curved while the back is pointed and the top curves higher than the bottom. This creates lift as the boomerang flies through the air. Since the boomerang spins when thrown, it is not traveling in a single direction. This is why it returns to the original location if thrown properly.
