The ZigBee Alliance, have announced the free public availability of the ZigBee Home Automation (HA) public application profile. It makes the standards-based approach for new home automation techniques. Such devices will be reliable, affordable, easy to install and operate . The popular systems like HVAC, power outlets, motorization, security, audio/video and other devices can be easily incorporated into it using zigbee. ZigBee reliability and scalability is popular with members producing products today.
A zigbee-based home automation system
The home environment today has seen a rapid introduction of network enabled digital technology. the connectivity of devices at home has been increased for home home automation. With the with the rapid expansion of the Internet, the network enabled devices can also be subjected to remote control and monitoring. Inspite of all the advances , the adoption of home automation systems has been very very less. a flexible home automation architecture has been implemented in this article. A Wi-Fi network is also integrated along with it through a common home gateway. This gateway provides network interoperability and also and remote access to the system. the system's security and safety needs has been addressed through creating a dedicated virtual home. four devices have been developed and controlled for evaluation processes.
