In the present circumstance, the main threat facing humanity is global warming, which is the main cause of other environmental problems, such as rising sea levels, depletion of the ozone layer, and so on. Although they are threatening human society and the environment, their need in today's life is inevitable. Therefore, to limit the emission, the nations of the world have framed emission rules. As a result, technology has been improved to limit emissions. But with another emission control technology called "emission control with plasmatron fuel converter", the emission can be limited to a greater extent. Emission control with plasmatron fuel converter involves the pretreatment of hydrocarbon fuels in gas rich in hydrogen and the regeneration of the catalyst in the exhaust for a better retention of particles. This document details the methods and possibilities for the implementation of plasmatron fuel converter as hydrogen generation on board to control the emission to a greater extent than usual.
The Plasmatron fuel converter introduces the electric discharge into the path of the flowing gases or the fuel that forms part of the hydrocarbon as the main component, which the discharge initialises the reactive species (said as ions) in the gases, which gives rise to The formation of hydrogen-rich gas or hydrogen-rich fuel. The Plasmatron converter also helps improve the enthalpy of the gas stream, which again speeds up the reaction rates. Therefore, these conditions favor the transformation of the hydrocarbons into hydrogen-rich fuel, thus providing the opportunity for partial oxidation, but the production of soot is within tolerance.
