INTRODUCTION
Technology is making many things easier. We have seen LAN, MAN , WAN , INTERNET & many more but here is new concept of “ RED TACTON ” which makes the human body as a communication network by name .... HAN (Human Area Network).
NTT lab from Japan is currently testing & developing this revolutionary technology .
The name chosen for this technology is derived from “tacton” meaning “action triggered by touching” combined with “red”, which in Japanese culture is an auspicious color with connotations of warmth and love, to convey the cordiality and warmth of interpersonal communications. then it became “REDTACTON”
WHAT IS REDTACTON?
Red Tacton is a new “Human Area Networking technology“that uses the surface of the human body as a safe, high speed network transmission path. Red Tacton uses the minute electric field emitted on the surface of the human body. Technically, it is completely distinct from wireless and infrared.
Using Red Tacton, communication starts when terminals carried by the user or embedded in devices
They linked in various combinations according to the user's Communication is possible using any body surfaces
The body surfaces may be any of our body parts like hands, fingers, arms, feet, face, legs .
HOW REDTACTON WORKS?
TRANSMISSION

The transmitter sends data by inducing fluctuations in the minute electric field. These fluctuations disturbs the minute electric field on the surface of the body.
RECEIVING
Data is received using a photonic electric-optic crystal and a laser light to detect fluctuations in the minute electric field.

RedTacton uses the electric field that occurs naturally on the surface of the human body for communication. Transmitter and receiver electrodes are covered with an insulating films. No current flows into the body from the RedTacton transceiver.
There is no current flowing from the RedTacton transceiver; however, the body indirectly receives a minute electric field. This causes electrons already present inside the body to move, creating a minute displacement current. This displacement current is similar to those occurring in everyday life.
RedTacton is in conformity to the "Radio frequency-exposure Protection RCR standard (RCR STD-38)" issued by the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB).
FEATURES OF REDTACTON
1.TOUCH

Touching, gripping, sitting, walking, stepping and other human movements can be the triggers for unlocking or locking, starting or stopping equipment, or obtaining data.
Using RedTacton, communication starts when terminals carried by the user or embedded in devices are linked in various combinations through physical contact according to the human's natural movements.
2.BROADBAND & INTERACTIVE
Duplex, interactive communication is possible at a maximum speed of 10Mbps. Because the transmission path is on the surface of the body, transmission speed does not deteriorate in congested areas where many people are communicating at the same time.
Maximum communication speed may be slower than 10Mbps depending on the usage environment.
3.ANY MEDIA
In addition to the human body, various conductors and dielectrics can be used as transmission media.

MERITS
A communication environment can be created easily and at low-cost.
Communication environment can be formed with items close at hand like desks, walls and metal objects.
Reduces heavy antennas and receivers like devices to carry.
More secure than Bluetooth.
Superior than infrared technology.
Superior than Wi-Fi.
DEMERITS
It has no compelling applications that aren’t already available.
There is a limit on the conductor size for propagation.
Which has some difficulty in installing the devices.
Some threats are in power dissipation

NTT lab from Japan is currently testing & developing this revolutionary technology to make it more safer and cheaper.

CONCLUSION
So we conclude that, red tacton is the best technology when compared with other data communication technologies present today.
In this technology there is no problem of hackers as our body is itself a media.
If red tacton is introduced into cyber market it brings a marvelous & tremendous change and will be adopted by many more people
