ABSTRACT
This project is mainly designed to protect the industrial equipment from the fire accidents. For any application in the industries there are many parameters to be handled. In that we have to monitor the physical parameter values with the help of some sensors. Those are nothing but temperature, humidity, pressure, smoke levels and light intensity etc. whenever fire accident is occurs environmental changes are in temperature, humidity smoke levels and light intensity. In this we are concentrating on light intensity. To read the light intensity values we are selecting LDR.
The LDR circuit is used to find the intensity of light. Depending on the intensity of light the value of resistance across the LDR will change, so the output voltage will change by changing the value of resistance (10k pot). We have to fix the output voltage as maximum as possible. Whenever light intensity is changes from that LDR voltage level is changing. That voltage is in analog form. To convert that analog into digital we have to use one ADC. Here we are selecting one serial ADC to save the port pins. After interfacing ADC we have to implement one application program to read the analog voltage. We are comparing this digital quantity with predefined intensity that was already fixed in the micro controller. Whenever fire accident is occur intensity of light is very high. With the help of LDR it is easy to find out the fire accident. If we are implementing this concept for the industries, it is very useful for indicating fire accidents.
