Existing System:
• All the voices are recorded in voice format and saved and this has chance of error or may not have clarity for many to understand.
• A dedicated employee is needed to play the prerecorded announcement or make an announcement.
• Currently there is no facility to automatically schedule the announcements
• There is no facility for advertisement which can be a good source of revenue for the organization.
Proposed System:
The goal of the project is to provide an application which can be used in public places such as Railway Stations, Shopping Centers, etc. for making voice based Announcements and broadcasting Advertisements based on their schedules.
There will be three kinds of users of the application –Administrator, Operators and Advertisers.
Administrators would be provided with a desktop application module in order to manage the users of the system, advertiser orders, accounts and application specific information.
Operators would be provided with a desktop module that allows them to manage and schedule various Public Announcements. They will also be able to manage and schedule Advertisements booked by Advertisers.
Advertisers will be provided with a web-interface through which they will be able to provide text, select Voice based on a sample and book the Advertisement, The Advertisers will also be able to manage their account, add funds to their Account Balance and view details of booked Orders.
The Administrators review the booked orders and approve them upon which Operators would schedule the advertisement. The applicable charges for the Advertisement will be deducted from the Advertiser’s Account upon successful broadcasting of the Advertisement.
The Web-Module also allows visitors to place a request to register as an Advertiser.
The Desktop Application would provide these additional services to all its users:
• Converting of Text to Speech using available voices.
• Saving the converted Speech as a WAV File.
• Using Text to Speech System for reading documents such as emails, html documents, text documents, etc.

Administrator Role:
1. Creating and managing the Users based on their Roles (Admin / Operator / Advertiser).
2. Managing Payments received from Advertisers, setting the Discount allowed percentage for the Advertisers, reviewing and approving Advertisers’ Orders.
3. Managing the different Voices available on the System.
4. Creating Time Slots for Advertisements and Assigning Rates for each Slot.
Operator Role:
1. Creating Announcements and selecting Voice for the Announcements.
2. Scheduling and managing of the Announcements.
3. Scheduling and managing of the Advertisements based on approved Orders.
4. Managing self account details.
Advertiser Role (Web-based):
1. Booking of Advertisements by providing the text, selecting the voice and placing an Order.
2. Viewing their placed Orders’ details.
3. Adding funds to their Account.
4. Managing their Account details.
