WHAT IS AN IVT
Comprises a torque controlled Variator .
‘Torque Control’ rather than ‘Ratio Control’.
IVT enables an engine to run at optimum conditions.
Delivers improved performance, a smooth drive and added features.

Toroidal Discs separated by special oil, the ‘traction’ fluid.

The space between discs forms doughnut shape or 'toroid‘.

Licensees include Ford Motor Co., Toyota, Getrag etc.
