INTRODUCTION
Interactivity is the buzzword of the digital age, but who really wants to interact with a hunk of silicon? Wouldn't it be better if your computer knew how you were feeling?
The "BLUE EYES" technology aims at creating computational machines that have perceptual and sensory ability like those of human beings.

A simple thought comes to mind that why do we need such a technology ? The following points may pose answers.
Is it possible to create a computer which can interact with us we interact with each other?
Can computers learn to read our mind – through our facial expressions?
Can by simply touching the mouse, the computer will be able to determine our emotional state?
Can computers ever cheer us?
How can we make computers "see" and "feel"?
Picard, who is also the author of the groundbreaking book Affective Computing, says that "If we want computers to be genuinely intelligent and interact naturally with us, we must give them the ability to recognize, understand, and even to behave' and express emotions."
So how does one build emotive computers? The first step, researchers say, is to give machines the equivalent of the eyes, ears, and other sensory organs that humans use to recognize and express emotion.
