Introduction
Main Challenge in Computer Construction is the design of new memory chips with decreased size.
A conducting plastic has been used to create a new memory that store mega bit of data in millimeter-square device.
The beauty of the device is that it combine the best of silicon technology – diodes with the capability to form a fuse, which does not exist in silicon
What is Plastic Memory
It is a two-terminal device that can be written &erased repeatdly by voltage pulses of e.g. -4V & +4 V.
It is a technique that store a megabit of data in a millisquare device.
It is 10 times denser than current magnetic memories.
Plastic Memory has the potential to become the next generation of storage media.
