Intel made a big splash in Computex with its new Core i9 X-Series family, in which the crown jewelry was the 18-core processor for the desktop. But as long as we have not heard a lot in the way of technical details, Intel has stated that the 18-core I9-7980XE will have a base speed of 2.6GHz, with a 4.2GHz turbo boost 2.0 clock. And using Turbo Boost 3.0, which accelerates the performance of its fastest two cores, it will reach 4.4GHz.
