STATE ELECTION COMMISSION
*The superintendence, direction and control of all elections to the panchayats shall be vested in the state election commission.
*The state election commissioner is appointed by the Governor.
*The State Election Commissioner shall have the status equal to that of the judge of a High Court.
*Tenure of State Election Commissioner is 5 years or 65 years of age whichever is earlier.
*He shall not be removed from his office except in the manner and on the grounds prescribed for the removal of a judge of the state High Court.
*State Election Commissioner may resign his office by writing to the Governor.
*Kerala State Election Commission came into existence on 3rd December 1993 according to the Article 243 (K) of the Indian Constitution.
*M.S.K. Ramaswami was the first State Election Commissioner of Kerala.

PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
*Union Public Service Commission was established on 1st October 1926 on the recommendations of Lee Commission(1924).
*Articles 315 to 323 of the Constitution deal with Public Service Commissions.
*There shall be a Public Service Commission for the Union and Public Service Commissions for the states.
* A joint state Public Service Commission can be created for two or more states by the Parliament on the request of the legislatures of the states concerned.
*The constitution provides that one-half of the members of the Commission shall be such persons who held any office for atleast
