A road is a road, route or road on land between two places that has been paved or otherwise improved to allow the trip on foot or some type of transportation, including a motor vehicle, car, bicycle or horse. The roads consist of one or two causeways, each with one or more lanes and associated sidewalks (British English: pavement) and the edges of the roads.
Roads that are available for public use may be called primary, secondary, and tertiary highways, highways, freeways, freeways, highways, or local highways. The construction of a new road, whether asphalt or concrete, requires the production of a perfectly adhered paving structure, starting with a stable base layer and advancing to a level course with precision.
The base layer of a road lays the foundation for the upper structure of the pavement. It must offer excellent loading capacity, be able to withstand a wide range of different climatic conditions and remain functional for several decades.
