TALENT HUNTING COMPETITION DONE AT DAV COLLEGE
Giving students a platform to showcase their talent, talent-hunting contest was organized by DAV College, Jalandhar on 6 and 7 August in the university auditorium.
Director of the College, Dr. BB Sharma chaired the event. Emphasizing overall student development, Dr. Sharma noted that the university is always striving for a balance between academic and co-curricular activities for students. Recalling prominent alumni from the university such as the well-known ghazal singer Jagjit Singh, Padam Shree Hans Raj Hans, late Jaspal Bhatti, known singer Sukhwinder Singh, the director motivated the students to take inspiration from their lives and achieve success. He also advised students to put emphasis on dedication and discipline and polish their talent.
More than 300 students from the university participated in the competition in singing, music, dance, contest, bhangra, giddha, mime, etc. Prominent personalities from various fields judged events. The students who stood out for the first time in various events were Suman-Folk Song, Shivagika-Geet Ghazal, Baljeet Kaur-Dance, Resham Gupta-Quiz, Harpreet Kaur-Drama, etc. On the occasion, the winners of the events were also honored by the University.
