Superadobe is a form of embankment construction that was developed by the Iranian architect Nader Khalili. The technique uses long elbowed fabric tubes or bags filled with adobe to form a compression structure. The resulting hive-shaped structures employ corbelled arches, corbelled domes, and domes to create simple and double-curved shells that are strong and aesthetically pleasing. It has received increasing interest in the last two decades in the natural construction and sustainability movements.
In regions of the earth devastated by floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, fires and wars, where money and natural resources are lacking, one thing always remains and that is "Dirt." That is the material of choice to build dome in the form of emergency housing - a more organic housing in tune with the environment.
We must prepare for the inevitable disasters. One of the best ways to protect yourself from fire, flood and storm can be with earth, water, air and fire. Nature does. The balance of the natural elements are the natural equilibria between these universal elements.
To build simple emergency and safety structures in our backyards, to give us maximum security with minimal environmental impact, we must choose natural materials and, like nature itself, build with minimal materials to create the maximum space, such as a hive or a Sea shell The strongest structures in nature that work in tune with gravity, friction, minimal exposure and maximum compression are arches, domes and vault shapes.
