A gearshift mechanism is designed and applied to make the process of change more expeditious and less destructible to the driver. The incipient artifact must be reliable, with minimum dimensions, low construction and maintenance costs. This project aims to improve the shifting process using devices such as: a four-speed manual gearbox, two double-acting pneumatic cylinders, two pneumatic five-way control valves, an electric motor, a belt, two pulleys , Buttons, light bulbs, a table (stand) and power supply. Depending on the suggested gearshift mechanism, the driver can eliminate the gear ratio without moving the hands of the steering wheel by placing the gear shift knobs on the steering wheel. Using this method leaves the driver the joy of sacrificing the changing moment.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
Two pneumatic cylinder mechanisms which are arranged on either side of the footrest of the vehicle to apply the gear. The pneumatic cylinder is attached to the end of the flat pedal. The rest of the plate has a pivot in the center. The cylinders operate with the help of the power supply and are controlled by the control unit. One of the cylinders is used to apply the gear and another to reduce the gears. The gears are applied in the vehicle depending on the speed of the vehicle. The speed sensors are placed near the wheel, the sensor detects the signal and gives the output signal to the control unit. For this purpose, we are using a belt motor with a U-slot sensor in such a way that the speed can be varied through the belt motor. Depending on the signal, the clutch and gears will change automatically with the help of the control unit. When the speed of the vehicle automatically increases the clutch and gear shift in vehicles. The layout is clearly shown in the following diagram.
