The Health and Welfare College, Kintampo (formerly Kintampo Rural Health Training School) was fully established in 1969 by the Ministry of Health of Ghana. It is mandated to become quality multi-purpose health personnel for the provision of quality health care throughout Ghana. So far, the College is the only one of its kind in the country. The motto is "Educating for Service" with a guiding principle of the production of human resources able to provide health services.
