This system allows controlling a robotic arm by manual movements. This system uses an RF receiver that is interconnected with the 8051 microcontroller that controls the IC controller that is responsible for controlling arm movement. The transmitter circuit consists of an accelerometer sensor that is connected to the atmega microcontroller. The transmitter circuit sends commands to the receiving circuit. This command indicates whether the robot arm should be moved up or down or if commands indicate that an object can be grabbed or released. The robot is an electromechanical system that is operated by a computer program. The robots can be autonomous or semi-autonomous. An autonomous robot is not controlled by the human being and acts by its own decision detecting its surroundings.
Most industrial robots are autonomous, as they are required to operate at high speed and with great precision. But some applications require semi-autonomous or human-controlled robots. Some of the most used control systems are speech recognition, touch or touch control and motion control. One of the robots controlled by movement that is often implemented is a Robot controlled with a hand gesture. In this project, a robot controlled with hand gesture is developed using a sensor of Accelerometer of 3 axes and Arduino. Instead of remote buttons or a joystick, the hand gestures are used to control the movement of the robot. The project is based on wireless communication, where hand gesture data is transmitted to the robot via the RF link (pair RF Transmitter - Receiver). The circuit diagram and components are explained separately for the transmitter and receiver sections.
