Availability of seats in India Railways is a major concern as it is quite difficult to obtain at any time of the year. However, with the onset of online reservations, train reservations have become much simpler.
The availability of Indian Railways seats can be easily checked online through makemytrip.com. The database is present for the next 90 days. Log in to the website with a username and password and then proceed to check the availability of train seats.
Guidelines for checking the availability of railroad seats: Click on
Step 1: Go to http://www.makemytrip.com/railways/ for seat availability.
Step 2: Enter the details of the name of the source and destination station.
Step 3: Then enter the date of your trip or you can also click directly on the calendar icon to enter the date of the trip.
Step 4: Select the preferred option of the class in which you want to travel. Whenever you want to check the availability of seats in all classes, check the box that says My classes are flexible.
Step 5: Click Search
Step 6: You will get a list of all the trains that run between the stations mentioned by you. Select the train for which you want to check seat availability and then click on the check button
