Tuticorin (Tamil: த்துக்குடி அனல் னின் லையமிலையம்) is a power station located near Newport of Thoothukudi on the shore of the Bay of Bengal in South India. It has 5 units with a total installed capacity of 1,050 MW and extends over 160 hectares. The entire unit is based on coal. Coal is transported by sea through the ship Coal transported by ship is given to crushers crushing coal particles to 10-20mm. Crushed coal is fed to coal mills with bowl roll through bunkers. Baked through forced draft fans. There are four mills around the furnace as well as the oil storage nozzles of the oil storage for tangential combustion. Haldia, Paradeep, Port of Vizag to TTPS.
