Requirements of the Training Report
Students are required to submit Training Reports for the training modules attended. This is a training for report writing in which you should decide on what to write under the prescribed conditions. You should write the report in a professional manner in your own style. The following only attempts to give you some hints in case you need some references.
An individual Training Report is required for each training module, unless otherwise specified. For the workshop-type training modules which may comprise several workshops, a separate Training Report must be submitted for each individual workshop or as specified by the module instructor.
Your Training Report should be a concise but thorough technical record of the work you have done and the observations you have made during the training. It should clearly show that you have got a basic understanding of the subject, and how you benefit from the training. You should not simply extract words from the handout or copy from other sources. You must use your own words with clear handwriting in a neat and tidy manner. The content should be concise and you should use no more than the space available in the blank form (four A4 sized pages). Use one set of blank forms for each Training Report. These blank forms can be downloaded from ITC webpage.
The Training Report should be submitted within one week after you have completed the training module. The marked Training Reports (and Workbooks and Quiz, if any) will be returned to you via your Department and you should include them in your Training Logbook later.
**For Mechanical Engineering Students, an individual, multiple-pages integrated report is required for the integrated training module conducted in the HKPUIC.
