MICROCONTROLLER BASED WALKING AID FOR BLIND & DEAF

Abstract
Biomedical engineering specializes in making life easier for the physically challenged. Our project is an endeavor in this direction. IR sensor mounted on to the stick is used for detecting obstacles in the path of the user and a vibrational feedback is provided which is decided by microcontroller. The same circuit is mounted on a cap for detecting overhanging obstacles.
