t gives me immense satisfaction to inform all officers and personnel that I have assumed charge as the Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal, today on 3rd, February, 2016. I consider myself quite fortunate in leading such a prestigious force and look forward to a very satisfying tenure. SSB, primarily being a Border Guarding Force and the lead intelligence agency on the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan Borders, is also playing an extremely crucial role in curbing the left wing extremism in different areas of Chh.
