Sixth Sense Technology
SixthSense is a wearable gestural interface device that augments the physical world with digital information and lets people use natural hand gestures to interact with that information.It is similar to a neckworn projector+camera system.
Our sixth sense is basically a connection to something greater than what their physical senses are able to perceive.the invention of sixth sense technology has completely shocked the world.this technology is set to change our perception of the world. mastermind behind the sixth sense technology Pranav Mistry, 28 year old, of Indian origin. Sixth Sense / WUW ( Wear UR World) was invented by him. several applications that demonstrate the usefulness, viability and flexibility of the system are implemented by the sixth sense prototype itself. he map application lets the user navigate a map displayed on a nearby surface using hand gestures, lets the user zoom in, zoom out or pan using intuitive hand movements. the user can draw on any surface by tracking the fingertip movements of the userâ„¢s index finger. freehand gestures are also recognised. it implements a gestural camera that takes photos of the scene the user is looking at by detecting the Ëœframingâ„¢ gesture. The user can also draw icons or symbols in the air.
The current prototype system costs approximately $350 to build (not including the computer),The main cost being the the micro-projector.
