Advanced traffic control system
Description of the system
System software should not be a prototype or software, specially developed for this project.The software should be able to communicate directly with the local controllers intersection. The ATCS must interact with stag Microsystems W41KS (Rev. 55a) local software packages using Streamlined Protocol Econolite's. in
In addition, the ATCS must interact with OASIS/OSM 2070 Master/Local program controller of Econolite. In ATCS shall be designed to mix and match different controllers easily in one system.
General
The general architecture of the system should be designed based on client-server distributed with open architecture concepts. Processing should be distributed and open communications protocols will be used for all interfaces. Client workstations to access network file servers that perform traffic management, a system of communication, graphics and database management system.
Local area network Requirements in Central
10/100 Base-T Ethernet, a local area network (LAN) must support distributed client/server architecture.LAN must be installed and tested.LAN must be connected to the central hardware through a full duplex 100 Base-T networks, 10 Base-T/100 reference Base-TX auto-sensing communication and RS-232, and RS-485 links. These links from central hardware must be connected using Ethernet LAN switch.LAN should also include performance management software for network and remote access to the system.LAN must be configured in a star topology, centered
Ethernet LAN Switch. All connect to the LAN using CAT5 cables.
The communication system of the server
The system must be equipped with a communication server that has the same position and requirements of distributed file server. This server can be used as a distributed file server, if the server goes down.
Backup Crossing work
The ATCS provide the backup operation crossing in case of failure of the DFS server, server communications, or communications systems. This backup must be achieved using Time-Based Coordination (TBC), provided by the local authorities of the controller software. Local controllers automatically to TBC, in accordance with day plan is programmed in the controller when there is no relationship.
Watch Updates
After you log on every watch in the workplace should be automatically upgraded Microsoft Windows ™ operating system for the current time of the distributed server time system.
Remote access
In ATCS shall provide full access to the system for multiple users with remote sites dial-up or Ethernet access through a secure firewall, using Terminal Services Microsoft. remote user must be able to perform any functions that are allowed for Terminal Services, and are accessible to any other user with the same level of security, regardless of where you are physically located.
