ISAC (ISRO Satellite Centre)
*ISAC was set up in 1972 (Bengaluru)
*The main function of ISAC (Bengaluru) is engaged in developing Satellite technology and implementation of satellite systems.
SDSC (Satish Dhawan Space Centre)
*Satish Dhawan Space Centre was established in 1971.
* Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee named the centre as Satish Dhawan Space Centre on 5th September 2002.
National Remote Sensing Centre
*National Remote Sensing Centre is located at Hyderabad.
*National Remote Sensing Centre was converted to a fully Government Organisation under ISRO on 1st September 2008.
*National Remote Sensing Agency wasestablished as a registered agency on 2d September 1974 by Department of Science and Technology,
*National Remote Sensing Agency is now known as National Remote Sensing Centre.
SAC (Space Application Centre)
*Space Application Centre was formed in the year - 1972
*The headquarters of the Space Application Centre is at Ahmedabad.
*It is one of the major centres of ISRO that is engaged in the research, development and demonstration of space technology in the field of telecommunications, remote sensing, satellite navigation etc.
IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology)
* IIST was inaugurated by a G. Madhavan Nair (then Chairman of ISRO) on 14th September 2007.
* Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is located at Vialiamala (Thiruvananthapuram).
Physical Research Laboratory (PRL)
*The “Cradle of Space Sciences in India”
