At first we need to know about the study of the stability of power. The stability study is the procedure to decide the stability of a system on some disturbances and this is followed by several switching actions (ON and OFF). In the power system, the behavior of the synchronous machine may have some impacts due to these disturbances. The evaluation of this impact in the stability studies are studies of transient stability and stability studies at steady state. The steady-state stability study refers to whether or not the synchronism is maintained when the system is subjected to small perturbations. Transient stability studies imply that if the synchronism is retained or not when the system is subjected to large or severe disturbances. These disturbances can be a short circuit, an application or a loss of a large sudden charge or a loss of generation. The objective of this study is to find out if the load angle returns to a constant value and subsequently the disturbance is eliminated. Here, nonlinear equations are solved to determine stability. The Equal Area Criterion refers to transient stability. In fact, it is a graphical method very easy to use. It is to decide the transient stability of a single machine or system of two machines against the infinite bus.
