The control of the lamp attenuator of the AC through mobile is to control the lamp in the remote area by transferring the related data corresponding to the intensity of the lamp through mobile. The project is divided into two modules. A module arrangement includes a microcontroller, DTMF decoder, and a mobile phone where as the other module consists of mobile hand set. DTMF means multi-frequency double tone, which will generate an equivalent signal for the keys that are pressed on the transmission block (control block). The system has been used to control the lamp at the remote location by sending signals through the mobile phone. Here one mobile is placed on the transmission side and the other mobile on the receiving side. The mobile on the receiving side receives the signals from the transmission side which upon receiving the signal control the direction of the vehicle whose signals have been decoded using a DTMF decoder. The total lamp intensity is being controlled by the signal sent by the mobile on the transmission side. The intensity is adjusted by pressing / selecting different keys on the mobile on the transmission side, these signals will be received by the mobile on the receiving side and converted to digital data equal and given to the microcontroller here the controller sets the PWM. The PWM is fed to the TRIAC where the lamp is connected. Each key will have predefined intensity levels.
