The aluminum formwork system (MIVAN) has been widely used in the construction of residential units and mass housing projects. It is fast, simple, adaptable and cost-effective. It produces a work of total quality that requires minimal maintenance and when durability is the main consideration. This system is more suitable for the condition of India as a custom-made aluminum formwork for the totally cast-in-place concrete structure. In this formwork construction system, molten concrete walls and monolithic molded floor slabs provide the structural system in a continuous pour. The large dimensions of the room for the walls and slabs of the floors are erected on the site. These shapes become strong and robust, precision-engineered and easy to handle. They provide a large number of repetitions (about 250). The concrete is produced in RMC dosing plants under strict quality control and is transported to the site with traffic mixers.
