This is based on the study of the characteristics of ZigBee technology, and the analysis of the structure of wireless sensor networks. Introduced here is a new reliable, flexible and inexpensive WSN system based on the ZigBee technology. Here the the MAC layer and the network layer of ZigBee been taken over entirely. The node that integrates the WSN nodes and ZigBee module together has also been included. The hardware and the software implementation based on TinyOS, is designed. Finally, the desired characteristics of the WSN system applied in industrial are analyzed. This brings to the conclusion that the new WSN system has a more vast range of prospects in the application in industrial.
The motto of Zigbee has been :create a much
needed global wireless language capable of giving voices to the myriad of everyday
devices which surround us in our everyday life. Industries use ZigBee to effectively deliver solutions for a variety of areas
including consumer electronic device control, energy management and effi ciency.ZigBee technology will play an important role in
the adoption of Assistive Technology by enabling
wireless low-power communication between
devices and services that foster safe, healthy and
independent living conditions for the disabled or
elderly.ZigBee technology is the standard of choice among
other wireless technologies due to its efficiency in low-power connectivity and ability to connect a large
number of devices into a single network.
The license-free
2.4GHz frequency band is used for zigbee. ZigBee uniquely offers low-latency communication
between devices without the need for network synchronization delays.
ZigBee defines
the network, security and application framework for
an IEEE 802.15.4-based system.Public application profiles units.
enable developers to create interoperable,
distributed application entities.

Applications of Wireless Sensors in health-care industry
The health monitoring applications include:
1) Chronic Disease Monitoring
They include a wide range
of health problems including diabetes, asthma, heart
diseases and sleep disorders.
Episodic Patient Monitoring Scenario:
Includes non-acute or episodic
patient monitoring. In this scenario, the patientâ„¢s
vital signs (e.g. heart rate, temperature) and
disease-specific indicators (e.g. blood pressure,
blood glucose level, EKG) are monitored to
determine anomalies and spot trends.

Continuous Patient Monitoring Scenario:
Here, the vital signs (e.g. heart rate,
temperature, pulse oximeter) are monitored on a
constant basis to allow continuous measurement of
patientsâ„¢ health status at rest. The vital signs measurements waveforms (e.g. pulse
pleth wave or heart rate) are securely streamed
to an on-body data collection unit for data fusion
and/or sequential storage.

Patient Alarm Monitoring Scenario:
Here, the patientâ„¢s vital signs (e.g. heart
rate, temperature) and disease-specific indicators
(e.g. blood pressure, EKG, EEG) are monitored on a
continuous basis. The data collected by the medical
sensors is time-stamped and securely forwarded to
a gateway that acts as a patient monitoring system.

2. Personal Wellness Monitoring

This area focuses
on individuals age 65
or older.At present,
the monitoring
concerns the personâ„¢s
activity and safety and will be extended to general public on advancement of technology. The areas to focus include Senior Activity Monitoring Scenario,Safety Monitoring Scenario, Personalized Fitness Schedule Scenario etc.

ZigBee Based Wireless Sensor Networks and Its Applications in Industrial
Abstract:
Based on the study of the characteristics of ZigBee technology, and the analysis of the structure of wireless sensor networks. Proposed a new reliable, flexible and inexpensive WSN system based on the ZigBee technology.
Its structure that the MAC layer and the network layer of ZigBee been taken over wholly is given, and its node that integrates the WSN nodes and ZigBee module together, include both the hardware implementation and the software implementation based on TinyOS, is designed. At the end, analyzed the desired characteristics of the WSN system applied in industrial and proved that the new WSN system has a more vast range of prospects in the application in industrial.
Introduction:
Recently, advances in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) technology, wireless communications, and digital electronics have enabled the development of low-cost, lowpower, multifunctional sensor nodes that are small in size and communicate untethered in short distances.
Based on the collaborative effort of a large number of these tiny sensor nodes, Wireless sensor network (WSN) system is autonomous and operate unattended, adaptive to the environment. So it’s widely used in military, environment, health, home and other commercial areas. ZigBee is a new standard intended for low cost devices in automation, home controls and computer peripherals. It enables the broad-based deployment of wireless networks with low cost, low power solutions
Proposed System:
This article analyzed the ZigBee’s structure and characteristics, embedded the ZigBee technology into the realization of WSN systems, proposed a new, loop closed,
inexpensive, structure simple WSN architecture that can be widely used in the civil area. And based on the analysis of its application in industrial, the paper presented the basic
structure of the new WSN system and the hardware design of its intelligent nodes.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Micro controller
2. Zigbee
3. Industrial Sensor
4. ADC
5. Serial Interface
Software Requirements:
1. Embedded C Compiler
2. Dot Net
Classification of Embedded Systems
Embedded systems are often required to provide Real-Time response. A Real-Time system is defined as a system whose correctness depends on the timeliness of its response. Examples of such systems are flight control systems of an aircraft, sensor systems in nuclear reactors and power plants.
For these systems, delay in response is a fatal error. A more relaxed version of Real-Time Systems is the one where timely response with small delays is acceptable. Example of such a system would be the Scheduling Display System on the railway platforms. In technical terminology, Real-Time Systems can be classified as:
• Hard Real-Time Systems - systems with severe constraints on the timeliness of the response.
• Soft Real-Time Systems - systems which tolerate small variations in response times.
• Hybrid Real-Time Systems - systems which exhibit both hard and soft constraints on its performance.
POWER SUPPLY:
DEFINITION:

A power supply (sometimes known as a power supply unit or PSU) is a device or system that supplies electrical or other types of energy to an output load or group of loads. The term is most commonly applied to electrical energy supplies, less often to mechanical ones, and rarely to others.
