4G is the fourth generation of mobile telecommunications technology, succeeding 3G. A 4G system must provide ITU-defined capabilities in IMT Advanced. Potential and current applications include modified mobile web access, IP telephony, gaming services, high definition mobile TV, video conferencing and 3D television.
Diagram is given below :
The long-term launch standard (LTE) (a 4G candidate system) has been commercially deployed in Oslo, Norway and Stockholm, Sweden since 2009. However, it has been debated whether the first version versions should be considered 4G.
4G is the abbreviation for the 4th Generation Technology and is an attempt to evolve, integrate and merge the current 2G (2nd Generation), 3G (3rd Generation), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), short-range broadcast And Fixed Wire in a single, fully functional, transparent interred. The 4G technology is basically the extension in 3G technology with more bandwidth and offers services in the 3G. 4G have the features of a scalable, flexible, efficient, autonomous, secure and feature rich spine to support a multitude of existing and new services and to interact with many different types of networks. It offers fully convergent services (voice, data and multimedia) at data rates of up to 100 Mbps and ubiquitous mobile access to a wide range of autonomous user device networks. Basically, 4G is an enhancement and integration of several existing technologies including GSM, GPRS, CDMA, W-CDMA, CDMAone, IMT-2000, Wireless LANs and Bluetooth, etc. The expectation for 4G technology is the transmission of high quality audio / video over end to end Internet Protocol. If the movement of the Internet Protocol (IP) media subsystem accomplishes what you are going to do, none of this will possibly matter. WiMAX or mobile structural design will become progressively more translucent, and thus the acceptance of various architectures by a particular operator of the increasingly common network. The main characteristics of the 4G services of interest for the users are the adaptability to the applications and the high dynamism of the user traffic, the radio environment, the air interfaces and the quality of the service. A 4G system should provide capabilities defined by ITU (International Telecommunication Union) in IMT (International Mobile Telecommunications) Advanced. Potential and current applications include modified mobile web access, IP telephony, gaming services, high definition mobile TV, video conferencing and 3D television.
