Wireless communication, or simply simply wireless, is the transfer of information or energy between two or more points that are not connected by an electric conductor. The most common wireless technologies use radio waves. With radio waves the distances can be short, like a few meters for television or even thousands or even millions of kilometers for radio communications in deep space. It covers various types of fixed, mobile and portable applications, including bi-directional radios, cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and wireless networks. Other examples of radio wireless technology applications include GPS units, garage door openers, wireless mice, keyboards and headphones, headphones, radio receivers, satellite television, television and cordless phones.

The term wireless communication was introduced in the 19th century and wireless communication technology was developed over the following years. It is one of the most important means of transmitting information from a device to other devices. In this technology, the information can be transmitted through the air without need of cables, wires or other electronic conductors, using electromagnetic waves like IR, RF, satellite, etc. Currently, wireless communication technology refers to a variety of wireless communication devices and technologies ranging from smartphones to computers, eyelashes, laptops, Bluetooth technology, printers.

At present, the wireless communication system has become an essential part of several types of wireless communication devices, which allows the user to communicate even from remotely operated areas. There are many devices used for wireless communication such as mobile. Cordless phones, Zigbee wirelss technology, GPS, Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wireless computer parts. Current wireless phones include 3 and 4G networks, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies.
