A mobile Patient System using commonly used Sensor Platform called The
wireless based Patient Sensor platform is described here,
Introduction
Through the Wireless sensors, and Sensor network,
the vital signs like ECG, blood pressure values, blood
glucose level, pulse oximeter, weight, or other vital
sign are transferred to a monitoring center enabling accurate
diagnosis. The patient information and the transmitted
data can be viewed locally or via the Web. Wireless Patient monitor sensor platform (WSP)
architecture automatically
sends different types of warning and notifications to
desired destination, or e-mail it directly to Doctor Ëœs
computer by using Open standard transportation
protocol or leave a Voice message for him. all important vital parameters ike temperature,blood pressure, ECG ,SPO2 etc. are monitored continuously by the WSP firmware.
Patient monitoring system
The Patient Monitor System Architecture consists of the sensor node, access point, the infrastructure network to communicate with the destination, which maybe doctor's PDA/laptop or the hospital medical management system.
Sensor node platform architecture is a system on a module, which defines both the hardware and software for sensor Node. Processors are embedded . In the WSP platforms,
Processors are based on any type of micro-controller.
WSP can support the Wireless
Lan (IEEE-802.11), WPAN, GSM , CDMA,, Discrete
I/O, and Serial bus interfaces. An WSP , for example, can uses
the A/D interface to capture a lots of information such
as analog signal like hear beat, blood Pressure , and
temperature.
Vital parameter scanner:
Temperatures, Heart beat and the like will be
monitored by WSP firmware through specific
interface like A/D and reported
Software develop kit
It is based on a
open software like Linux.Factors like Vital
parameter management, Vital Event Action and the message exchange over these Sensors Node .or, Doctorâ„¢s PDA. will be done by the software.
