COMBUSTION OF WATER-FUEL
EMULSION DURING ITS INJECTION INTO HEATED AIR.
The dependence of the completeness of combustion of liquid fuel during its pulsed injection into heated air on the parameters of the medium and delivery conditions . Experiments show that emulsification of the fuel does not affect the integral completeness of combustion. Thus fuel economy of diesel engines can be improved by converting them to a water-fuel emulsion. The main index of the efficiency of a diesel engine is fuel economy, which most often is determined by the amount
of fuel needed for producing a unit of mechanical energy (g/kWh). With the conversion of diesels to WFE(water-fiel engines) leads to a decrease
of the maximum and average values of the indicated pressure in the combustion chamber, but the rate of its buildup
increases. Thus with these changes applied to the dynamics of the cycle with the appropriate combination of circumstances
leads to an increase of the thermomechanical efficiency. The power output and the environmental parameters of diesel operation depend mainly on the quality of combustion of the fuel--air
mixture. with the use
of WFEs , the excess amount of water vapor accelerates the process
of combustion of the intermediate product - - carbon monoxide. emulsification of fuel leads not only to a change in the chemism of the reaction but also to
mechanical restructuring of the jet. WFE jet is looser owing to intensified cavitation scattering of the
liquid directly. Thus, the heat engineering, hydromechanical, and chemical-kinetic characteristics of the processes of
mixture formation, ignition, and burning of fuel change as a result of emulsification.
