What is War Driving?
The concept of "war driving" is simple:
War driving is the act of searching for Wi-Fi wireless networks by a person in a moving vehicle, using a portable computer or PDA.
Software for war driving is freely available on the Internet, notably Net Stumbler for Windows, Kismet for Linux and Kis Mac for Macintosh. There are also homebrew war driving applications for handheld game consoles that support Wi - fi, such as sniff jazz war dive for the Nintendo DS, Road Dog for the Sony PSP, Wi-Fi Where for the I Phone, and G- MoN for the Android operating system and Wlan Pollution for Symbian NokiaS60 devices.
