Gasification is a process that converts organic or fossil-based carbonaceous materials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The process of producing energy using the gasification method has been in use for over 180 years. During that time coal and peat were used to feed these plants. Initially developed to produce city gas for lighting and cooking in 1800, it was replaced by electricity and natural gas, it was also used in blast furnaces, but the largest role was played in the production of synthetic chemicals where it has been In use since the 1920s.
The basic principle of the POWERMAX rice husk biomass gasification power system (abbreviated as BGPS) is to convert the rice husk, rice hull into combustible gas. It is then used as fuel in the gas engine to generate electricity. Gasification of biomass successfully overcomes the disadvantages of rice husk biomass, such as low flammability and great diversity. The biomass gasification system is characteristic of the small requirement of the earth and friendly environment. It is one of the most effective ways of using biomass.
