Good evening Directors, teachers, our guests of honor, parents and classmates, I am Michelle Kuan, graduated from 2013-2014. It is a privilege for me to take the vote of appreciation at this graduation ceremony on behalf of all graduates to express our appreciation to the school for the support over the past six years. Let me start with one of my favorite quotes: "You have brains in your head, feet in your shoes, you can go in any direction you choose." I had not understood this quote in depth until I was in Form 5, which was the time for me and most of you here to consider your future. With many variations and uncertainties, I once felt helpless and confused. But then there were teachers, family and friends who were at our side. They provided support, guidance and care when we were downstairs. His breath made me feel more confident. And at that point, I realized that no matter how difficult the future will be, you are always the one who takes control of it - you are the navigator in your life journey. Time flies, it seems like yesterday when I first entered the campus. Do you remember the S1 leadership camp? For me, the most memorable part of this camp was all afternoon spent exploring the mountain stream, helping each other to overcome the challenging path, and later receiving punishment together. Do you also remember the Musical 20, which took us all 20 years later, reminding each one of us to live a life without regret? And later in the last few years, we had our SBAs, study, tests, exams and more study. We failed, we panicked, but eventually we got up to face the war. Can you remember the time when you stay in the library with your friends, working very hard together for the HKDSE? We will never be able to relive these precious and unforgettable memories, but we can always remember them and keep them in our hearts. For the current students of S6, it can be difficult now, but someday in the future, you will realize that these are the moments that most treasure you, these are the moments that you will never forget. So, choose to enjoy every moment, even if it is difficult, even if you feel depressed, but never despair, as you are the one you choose the direction you are heading towards. We are always at the crossroads, deciding which way to go. At school, teachers gave us lots of instructions and advice, but at the end of the day we make our own decisions, make decisions about whether to join, follow and if things were worth it. After leaving high school and starting a new page of your life, there will be more decisions to make, but with less guidance. For that moment, you are alone, and you know what you know. And you're the one who decides where to go. I can not say that I can handle all this with skill, as we all know that we can never stop learning to make choices, but I would like to share a recent experience that I had as a first year student at CUHK. In fact, I joined the association of my department at the university. I have sacrificed time to sleep, study and stay with my family just to be well prepared for the period of promotion and consultation. Those times were tough, but no one said it was going to be easy, but they just said it would be worth it. He could have chosen not to join any activity and instead of getting enough sleep. However, I prefer to look back and say "Oh, how difficult!" I say "I should have done it!" Seize every opportunity, make your decisions without regret and lead an incredible journey. Law Ting Pong Secondary School has definitely given me the most impressive and fabulous life of high school. Therefore, on this occasion, I would like to thank once again all the teachers for staying with us throughout, guiding us to pass the public examination and teaching us the right attitude and values. Thanks to the school for giving me several opportunities to experience new things, such as study trips, and giving us the most comfortable study environment and the happiest school life of all time. And most important, thanks LTPSS for allowing me to meet my best friends, who are my lifelong partners and my greatest support in the past, the present and I am sure in the future too. Also, I would like to extend special thanks to my beloved family and friends who are always by my side. Soon, we will meet new friends and face new experiences, however, we will never forget what you have learned and achieved here. Do not panic or feel depressed when faced with failure, as it is a time for us to make mistakes, to reflect and to encourage again to continue the journey to our dream.Enjoy every moment of your life, try your best while doing each task, and you will not regret the direction you choose. Last but not least, congratulations to the graduates of 2013-2014! Remember, life is not waiting for the last storm, it is about learning to dance in the rain. Thank you very much!
