1. What is the data warehouse?

3. What is the difference between OLTP and OLAP?

Answer: OLTP is the transaction system that collects business data. While OLAP is the system for reporting and analyzing these data.

OLTP systems are optimized for INSERT, UPDATE operations and, therefore, are highly standardized. On the other hand, OLAP systems are deliberately denormalized for fast data retrieval through SELECT operations.

4. What is Data Mart?

Answer: Data markets are usually designed for an individual thematic area. An organization can have data belonging to different departments such as Finance, Human Resources, Market, etc. stored in the data warehouse and each department can have separate data centers. These data markets can be built on top of the data warehouse.

Answer: a dimension is something that qualifies a quantity (measure).

For example, consider this: if I say ... "20 kg", it means nothing. But if I say: "20 kilos of rice (product) are sold to Ramesh (client) on April 5 (date)", that gives a meaningful meaning. These products, customers and dates are some dimensions that qualified the measure: 20 kg.

7. Does it briefly state different between Data Warehouse and Data Mart?

Answer: Dataware's house is made up of many datamarts. DWH contains many thematic areas. but the data market focuses on a general subject area. eg If there is a DHW from the bank, then there may be a data center for accounts, one for Loans, etc. These are high level definitions. Metadata is data about data. eg if in data mart we are receiving any file. then the metadata will contain information such as the number of columns, the file is the width / deleted of the correction, the ordering of the data files, the types of field data, etc.

8. What is the difference between the dependent data store and the independent data store?

Answer: There is a third type of Datamart called Hybrid. The hybrid datamart also has source data from operational systems or external files and central Datawarehouse. I will definitely check independent and dependent Datawarehouses and update them.

10. What are CUBES?
