Abstract
Underground cable power transmission cable. Due to their reliability on transmissions, they are in overcrowded urban areas and in over-populated areas where overhead transmission is dangerous. Low maintenance cost of underground cables, low probability of defects, small voltage drop has recently increased the development of cables suitable for use on high voltage in design and construction improvement. Electric power can be transmitted or distributed by either overhead system or underground cable. Underground cables have many advantages, which are overhead systems, so we use underground cables. A cable can have one or three cores (conductor), for the purpose of service, for example, three Conductor cable is used for 3-phase service. Conducts are made of tinned copper or aluminum and are usually stranded to provide flexibility to the cable.
