A chassis consists of an internal structure of the vehicle that supports an artificial object in its construction and use, it can also provide protection for some internal parts. An example of a chassis is the underside of a motor vehicle, which consists of the frame (on which the body is mounted). If the gear is included as wheels and transmission, and sometimes even the driver's seat, then the set is described as a rolling chassis.
CHASSIS LAYOUT
The main parts of and the car are mounted on the chassis. The arrangement of these components in the chassis are different in different types of vehicles, ie cars, jeeps, trucks, buses, etc. The main difference in the arrangement of this chassis is the position of the engine.
The engine is located at the front of the vehicle, followed by a clutch, gearbox, propeller shaft, universal joints, differential, rear axle, etc. The radiator is located in front of the engine. Several other parts of the vehicle that are not shown in the design are dynamo, horn, steering gear, fan, gearbox, carburetor, air filter, gearshift, steering wheel, cylinder, fuel tank, rear axle, front axle . The drive from the gearbox is transported through a short shaft to the front universal joint of the propeller shaft. From the propeller shaft it is transported to the rear wheel through a type of sliding fluted seal. The conical gear of the short shaft is driven by the rear universal joint. This conical gear engages with a larger conical gear that drives the two axes of the rear axle through a differential gear.
