abstract:
Interactional radiology is a medical sub-specialty that uses minimal-invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in almost every organ system. The whole process is offered on imaging and the way the surgeon or physician interacts with the pictures, they are directed through the whole process. The process of exchanging and manipulating objects in an image in a compulsive medical environment is still a challenge, where the keyboards, rats and touch screen are potential sources of infection. The purpose of this letter is to investigate potential solutions with a low-cost, touch-free speed-tracking (hand gesture) device for interaction with the image visualization environment. The solution involves a device that tracks gestures and speed and custom software in a person's hands, in order to review the information obtained with the speed-tracking device and manipulate images on WordStation Translates. This solution will be available on a touchless string interface for smooth image interaction in interactional radiology processes.
