The school is located in Kibwezi along the Mombasa road, the study environment is conducive to any student and the hostel facilities are built with modern technologies for men and women willing to study in Kenya. There is constant supply of electricity and water. The university trains teachers in the following areas; Diploma in special education, diploma in ECDE and Certificate in ECDE and SNE.
Special needs education prepares teachers to adapt to the curriculum of students with special needs, students develop a duty to communicate effectively with children with disabilities. Students involved in special education are students with visual or hearing disabilities or any other disabilities. The course prepares teachers to know how to customize ways to address each student's needs. The teacher is trained in how to use different equipment to facilitate the learning of children with special needs. Graduates of this university are guided in the development of conscious and academic success.
Early Childhood Development and ECDE Education, the course produces teachers in Kenya who are specialists in training children. The graduate of this course can comfortably teach kindergarten and day care, training involves the study of basic math, language, child development, child rights, psychology and administrative duties. The examining body for this course is the Kenya National Examination Council (K.N.E.C). The entrance requirement of this course is KCSE degree D + or a certificate in ECDE or any other equivalent qualification. The course lasts one year for full-time students.
Early childhood is the type of education given to young children up to the age of nine, after the student enrolls in compulsory education. At this stage the student spends most of the time playing, teachers are trained to realize the power of play; Good play will meet the child's intellectual, emotional and social needs.
ECDE teachers at the Elite Teachers' College are fully trained to be child-centered; Teachers become professionals in understanding the child's needs, social interactions with others and the emotional connection with the child. The teacher acquires skills on how to develop the child's communication by having the child learn the correct language; To understand the world and the recognition of good from evil.

Am Jackline mulee Zakayo,i completed form four in 2015,scored a mean grade of B-,i would wish to join the school for a DTE ,when should i join,how can i get the admission letter,how is the fees structure,,,
