The Tuticorin thermal power plant is a power plant located near the new port of Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu, India, on the shores of the Bay of Bengal sea. It has 5 units with a total installed capacity of 1,050 MW and extends over 160 hectares (400 acres). The whole unit is based on coal. Coal is transported by sea through the ship. The coal transported by ship is delivered to the crushers that crush the carbon particles to 10-20 mm in diameter. The crushed coal is supplied to coal mills with rollers for boluses through coal deposits. Powdered coal is pulverized and heated through forced draft fans. There are four mills around the furnace, as well as oil injection nozzles from the oil storage for tangential ignition. Haldia, Paradeep, Vizag Port to TTPS.
