The Simulation Towards a Robust Wireless Sensor Network for the Environment Control

I. INTRODUCTION
The wireless sensor network technology can monitor the
parameter such as the temperature of the potential fire in open
mine, remote forest, offshore oil drilling platform, or snow and
ice level in water systems. The technology of wireless sensor
network is application specific, catered for solving different
problems [1]. The area of Ontario water is wide, and the
temperature range changes greatly from summer to winter,
which pose challenges to us, for example, proper burying style,
unmanned node energy control, remote data transmission and
minimum post-deployment management.

B. The reliable technique of remote communication
Monitoring data go through GPRS or EVDO network,
followed by Internet network to monitor center server with
TCP/IP transmitting module within GPRS/EVDO module
besides the gathering node [4]. Center server adopted optical
network connection, which is Internet with fixed IP address, by
our test, server connection error seldom happens. But between
the communication module of gathering nodes and mobile
communication network, when the module connect the mobile
communication network and send the data, there will be resting
time between sending another data, and in this idle period the
mobile network may release the communication link
automatically. When sending the data again, the module seeks
the network again.


B. The dormancy, awake of nodes
The energy consume of wireless sensor network nodes
occurs largely in the course of sending or receiving and
listening to the channel, while the energy consume little in
dormancy. Typical water field survey every a few minutes,
depending on the water level, the higher the water, the more
often to be checked upon.
